About God-Wrestling

  • The name "God-Wrestling" comes from the hebrew word "Yisrael (Israel) " which means to contend with or be a "wrestler with God."
This "ethics" blog will attempt to do simply that: to wrestle with God in the midst of life from a Jewish-Christian point of view. This is a place for you to send your questions that begin with: "I have always wondered about...." or "I wish I knew what God wanted me to do when...."

Terry Van Hook

Hi Glenn,

Thanks for your kind words. We hope this can be a place to help sort out some of the challenges the world puts into our life.

It would be very helpful if you and everyone who reads these blogs could refer them out and enourage others to read them.

I think there are ways to put links in other blogs as well and have them cross referenced.

Grace and Peace, Pastor Terry

This is some interesting stuff, I'm glad I finally tuned in.

One of the aspects of the Methodist church that I have always admired is that it is very real world. Your advice and recommendations stay true to this and allow us to remain God-Wrestlers. I think these situations and the reccomendations made never lose sight of the fact that we are all very human and living in a human world.
