Q: As an animal lover, I am totally against any form of animal testing. I support companies that have that same stance.
Recently, I discovered that the large corporation I work for does a LOT of animal testing in their personal care products division. (I work in another very different division.)
I am very conflicted working for the company.
The benefits are good, the people are nice and the pay is well above average. Any suggestions ??
A: Unfortunately, there’s no bible verse that forbids animal testing, so we can’t say: “It’s against my religion!”
Anyway, that’s too easy and we’re here to struggle, right?
The issue is our engagements with those who are doing things we believe are wrong.
When do we keep quiet? When do we say “adios!?”
Should we stay if there’s a possibility to help?
If the benefits are great, should we overlook their actions?
A deep moral issue like this needs to be faced and dealt with. Otherwise, it erodes our ethical and moral base from within.
