The time has come.
In the light of Easter, we are called as a church to gather, sing, pray and speak to each other about our future.
It is appropriate to have just celebrated the resurrection of Jesus from the tomb. That is the core element to our faith. The event that sets us on our faith journey and asks us to trust God is ways that seem impossible.
Yet there it is. An act of trust, an act of faith. “Do you believe?” we are often asked…. But in reality we are being asked “Do you trust?”
“Do you trust that God loves you?” “Do you trust that God will guide us through these days?” “Do you trust the power of God’s Holy Spirit in Jesus Christ to strengthen us and give us all we need now and forever?”
“Do you put your trust in the words of scripture: ‘…in all things God works for the good, for those who love God, who are called according to his purpose?’”
The last two years have been preparing us to this time. A time of discussion, prayer and discernment. A time to challenge each other with a future filled with God’s hope, strength and promise.
….A time of unclear consequences, but we are clear on one thing: what ever happens, God will be with us. We will not be orphans as we move into this new season.
“Have no fear” the angels proclaimed, “for Christ is with us.”
How goes it with your soul?
Grace and Peace,
Pastor Terry
